Alcogoggles

The alcogoggles that simulate vision with different concentration of alcohol in the blood (e.g. between 0.7 and 1 promile), allow the participant to experience vision under influence while actually being sober.
The alcogoggles are an internationally popular evidenced-based prevention tool used to educate people of all ages about the consequences of alcohol misuse and abuse. The goggles use special lens technology that allows the wearer to experience a realistic simulation of impairment. They simulate six distinct impairment levels and are available in a clear or shaded version to simulate either daytime or nighttime conditions. A popular activity to conduct with them is to perform Standard Field Sobriety Tests such as walking a straight line heal-to-toe or the one-legged stand. Due to the loss of balance and equilibrium produced by the goggles, the wearer will exhibit behaviors that are similar to that of someone under the influence of alcohol and other drugs.

SIDA STUDI - Spain

Objectives:

-    Sensitizing about the effects of alcohol on driving skills.
-    Sensitizing about the effects of alcohol on condom use.
-    Make free condoms available to everyone who wants.

SIDA STUDI have chosen "AlcoVision Goggles" for sensitizing youngsters on the effects of alcohol on driving. It will be cross-fertilized with SIDA STUDI's own campaign called "Bars & Prevention", aimed to make free condoms available in non-commercial young leisure areas for Aids prevention. The combination will result in a pilot action, conducted by young volunteers, where participants will do several activities while using AlcoVision goggles in order to be aware of the effects of alcohol on driving skills, condom use and other decisions concerning youngsters health.

For the campaign you need: Stand with information, 2 Alcovision goggles, 5 traffic cones, a condom-like steering wheel, a penis scale-model, prevention-kit gift (driving license with male and female condoms and lubricant).

Alive: Responsible Young Drivers - Luxembourg

Objectives:

- Develop the sense of responsibility regarding risky behaviors
- Increase the awareness regarding the use of prevention tools
- Encourage indirect actors to sensitize their friends, lovers… to take up a responsible attitude on the road as in their relationship.
Eight giant steps for health promotion: LASER EUROPE - France

The campaign is a multi dimensional approach of health care. The health is a global topic and its education and danger awareness take a lot of figures. The interest in this Tour is to coordinate many health topics and to educate young people in one plenty day.
The action aims to sensitize the youngsters on important topics of health, to tackle the problem of risky behaviors among 16-29 years, to reduce the prevalence of not suitable health conducts.
Road of illusions: Road Safety Institute „Panos Mylonas” – Greece

Objectives:

- To convince, mainly young people, to drive safely without being under the influence of alcohol
- To inform the participants about the results of hyper-consumption of alcohol when they are driving and not only
- To change the mentality of drink and driving
